Try using a 250ml syringe. will be quicker
Or you can just use large syringe instead of pouring or pumping…. Easy, super cheap…
Can I add on here some of this can be automated with a jig pushing the vat to one side and you could totally put an in line filter on there not to mention there's already designs out there to print peristaltic pumps then all you need to buy is the hardware for that a few screws and a motor that would also solve the speed problem too
I use a cheap rigid cookie sheet from Walmart lined with blue shop paper towels to transfer from printer to wash station. I'd say I'm 98% successful not getting drips everywhere. This pump idea is intriguing.
You should make a squeegee for that Tube like on a Window! 🙂 And a Tube holder for the Pipe!
it was a bust but i think i got a bad pump, runs backwards from what it shows in the listing and and painfully slow… but love the idea! the wheels on the brain go round and round!

3d print a nozzle the size of your vat so you can suck it all up in one go?
Maybe a soldering helping hands thing would work as a jig to hold the pipe in the right place?
I don't know,
First of all anything stuck to the FEP will remain stuck to the film… you need to push on the back of the film to get those off.
Second, there's a lot of resin staying in the tubes
Third, I foresee a problem having resin in the scoops of the pump hardening
Fourth, cleaning the fep vat while on the printer seems risky damaging the UV screen underneath
But if it works for you… you do you…

Interesting, but it seems like another item needing cleaning to remove all the debris /resin in the tube.
I’d like to try it but isn’t this a bit of a pain to clean up? also, contamination of resin with remnants of ISP seems like a possibility. Could you elaborate on the cleaning process?
Good for larger vats. Seems like a waste of time for smaller vats. Also, maybe try not filling up the vat so far beyond what your slicer says you will need for the print. If your vat is half full after the print, you're doing it wrong.
Could you use a silicone spatula as apossed to plastic scraper so you won't have to worry about scratching ptf film? I know people use silicone mats in resin printing. I just got a rresin 3D printer but haven't gotten any resin yet to start printing. Good idea. And how about using some big syringe? Just an idea. I don't use them. But it should be faster and cheaper.
I'd love to see this used in the reverse direction to feed resin into the vat for large prints. With some Arduino coding to gauge vat level this could be a game changer!!!
Could also work the other way as a resin top up jig possibly for larger prints…
Seems like a turkey baster might also work well.

Run the drain tube through the binder clamp handles to hold the tube in place.
Should be able to make a clip that clips onto the funnel and holds the tube. Many different ways to skin this cat.
How do you clean the insides of the pump?
I honestly don't see the point of filtering out small pieces of cured resin. Worst case scenario it gets absorbed into the next print you make. Any piece large enough to give you a problem you can just pick out with the spatula, wash it into your alcohol vat and throw it away.
