  1. My poorly insulated garage gets into the low 60's. What I do is use an under-tank heating pad for aquariums. I take the vat out, sit it on the pad (covered) for 15-20 minutes and when the metal is up to 75 or so I start the print. So far it's worked great! Those heating pads are also pretty efficient. Like 40 watts for a small one, which is still a good deal bigger than the resin vat. I've also stuck the resin bottle back into the shipping box wrapped in the heating pad, but that takes longer and is a lot fiddlier to do, but may be the better solution for multiple printers.

  2. Would be nice if you could comment also the temp in Celsius. Saves the trouble for people not in the States to try to find out what you're talking about

  3. I Print outside in my garage. I just keep everything inside till I start the print. So far it worked

  4. Oh, that's barely Cold You could have come up to the St. Lawrence Valley to try that in -10 to -32F
Damn, I have that same Pelonis heater

  5. I just ordered this and taped it into my anycubic photon. Will secure it better later on but just wanna test it right now. Using siraya tech blu resin. This resin used to work real good on this printer and as of late I’ve run into 90% failures. Supports snapping off even with slow lift speeds.

  6. I print in my cold basement, 62-68 deg F and I print fine. I think the heat from the internal UV lights do all the work as far as keeping the resin warm.

  7. Is there any way to reagulate temperature (or just power input) on this? It's a little bit overkill, if temperature of printer is more than 30°C in snowy area:) Power input 200W is insane for such a small volume you need.

  8. My Mars 3 certainly prints better in colder temperatures than my other printers. I usually have a little heater but I've managed flawless prints at 12c with it

  9. I was contacted by an account with your face on it and a WhatsApp number saying I won something. I don’t know if the account belongs to you or if it’s fake. In the chance it’s fake you should warn people about it, can’t be too careful nowadays.
    Cheers.

  10. I got one of those heaters for my printing box and I returned it because it had a burning smell and I thought it might catch on fire, that said it could have just been my unit since others seem like theirs are fine.

  11. I've been printing issue free here with my Elegoo Saturn with the room temp being 11c/51.8f. without any heaters Been printing full build plates of minis and busts. Only issue so far was last night when printing out a batch of circular bases I got what I can Ribbon Issue where a Ribbon like issue occurred and I needed to filter my resin, on reflection I noticed I did not use my regular USB stick I had accidently used the one that came with the printer so dunno if there is a connection. The original Mars printer however I'm finding impossible to get anything printed! nothing sticking to plate, sticking to the fep…….over here in miserable ol Ireland even during the spring and most of the summer temps in the room I print in tend to only get up to about 17c.

  12. Thankyou!!!!!! Have just ordered one of these beauties from your link. Fingers crossed it will cure the hiatus that I've had in the chilly UK weather!

  13. I have been using a 180W personal PTC fan heater inside the Red dome. It's easy to maintain 25 Degrees centigrade.
I did have problems when the temperature drops below 18 degrees.
I believe the Elgoo 3 is the best in field for the price. I have an Peoploy Phenom it is very, very slow by comparison. Monochrome 4K &8K are the way to go.

  14. I use that heater with the VIVOSUN Heatmat Thermostat to control the temperature and provide a safety factor on my Epax E10 in my garage. I glued some 1 inch cabinet magnets to the bottom of the heater and then used a 2 magnet stack per corner on the outside of the case – no drilling of the case and very stable.

  15. Congrats to the winners. I am still on the fence about getting into resin printing. I do have a need for one, but not in a rush! I have no room for everything needed. Those heaters do get pretty hot. I have one I use to keep my hands warm while flying drone and it has a low setting which doesnt get too hot

  16. I use a small (about 8inx12in.) under tank reptile heater mat, cost me about 12 bucks on Amazon and tops out at about 90-95F. I currently have it frog taped to the outside back of the hood for my Elegoo Mars, turning it into a radiant heater, and it keeps the interior of the print bay at a nice 80F or so even when my room dips into the low 60's to 50'sF in the winter with the blackout cover I use from MACH5IVE.

  17. For all those with the intention of buying a heater or whatever system to warm up your resin. Just try it out first. My cellar is nearly getting 15 degrees Celsius and the prints are perfect. With several types and brands of resin.

  18. You guys should look at the ptc heater created for the anycubic and just modify it to fit in the mars. VOG has an amazing video on this exactly, you can easily keep it at a constant temperature as it has a control unit and sensor.

  19. I use a reptile heating pad using the included sticky side to mount it on the inside of my plastic shroud on my mono x, keeps it around 20-24c inside my unheated garage. Haven't had a misprint all winter.

  20. I'm surprised the resin didn't cure in the vat when you opened it since daylight is a strong UV source! I've seen people complain of a skin forming in the vat even with the red cover on.

  21. I'm surprised it didn't fail from the resin being TOO hot lol. I use a large space heater off to the side but I've been considering a small one to save on electricity. If these had temperature controls that would be better.

  22. My basement stays at a stable 55ºf through out winter. The only thing I change is I bump the normal exposure .1 sec and the base 2 sec, never had any issues. Been doing it for 3 years now, with 4 different printers.
