'Would like to know how to make a portfolio/Magazine Layout with Inkscape. Do you have a tutorial or does someone know a good one? thank you:)
HI Nick can you or anyone else give some me assistance with this issue I'm having please? I created a flyer in Inkscape at 8.5×11 transparent background I applied the crop, bleed and position to it. I saved it to both png & pdf when I opened the pdf version to print I am continously seeing this white background behind the entire flyer longer as well. I have exhausted all the options I know of. Advise needed ASAP THANKS.
Nice,thanks
nice, thank you
dont you have to add crop marks so the printer would know where to trim it
awesome!!! how did you get the curve effect on the card for your thumbnail?
Thank you, Nick! Your tutorials have been such a blessing to my learning process. Much appreciated.

Any Suggestions??
What would be the pros and cons of creating a business card on Inkscape vs Scribus?
Thanks!

Truly amazing stuff Nick! Simplicity to the core! I love this…Thanx for sharing all your great tutorials…
You forget CUT MARKS. You made the layout, and saved in RGB colors, and not in CMYK colors, thats allways been used for printing – Two BIG mistakes !!!!
Saving my non Adobe paying life here.

Thanks for content and the icon😁
How do print shops align and cut the piece without the bleed line or a crop line/cut line?
Is having a bleed margin applicable for customers printing at home?
Like birthday cards and whatnot.
Could I export to PNG first and then convert it to PDF, to keep the SVG file as is, without having to convert all text to paths?
All this is confusing for a newbie 😆
Now that I think on it. Isn't there a way to make the canvas' background show the transparency? I mean instead of being white, appear with that Checkboard like background that the pngs use.
What about CMYK colours
Thanks alot, Nick! I manage to finish doing the business card and logo by learning from you. Your tutorials are so clear and useful! I would give you more likes if possible! =)
