I like to have a calling card because if I order a book, have someone hold off clothes in the store, or whatever else like that, or meet a new person, it's just so much simpler to hand them your card than to tell them all the info they need and then have to spell out my name every single time. So I totally agree.

This is great advice! I attended an internship fair not too long ago. I was practically the only student there with a business card, it definitely made me stand out and everyone I met recognized that. I was offered a intern position at Legat Architects. Business cards are definitely a must have.

I have Businesscards since about 2 years. They're very good for school and other stuff. Specially because my name is difficult to write
Business Cards are cheap too. Maybe its kind of expensive to get a good design, but you can print a lot of these things for a small amount of money.
From work I've got nice cards and I always talk about the card. I tell people that they have small imperfections in the fonts and are individual items, because they are screen printed. If they want to know, I tell them how screen printing works. (I don't work as a screen printer, but I know how it works.) After that the people have my card and a nice, little story. I think that's a nice approach to be remembered.
I actually made my boyfriend's business cards for him and was able to put a QR code in the corner that directly links to his resume on a well set up blog page. He is looking for the perfect computer networking admin/cyber security job, so it is a cool thing to be able to show off. Love watching your videos for great gift ideas for him and helping with his general upkeep. He is not always the best stylist. Lol Also, he was in the Marine Corp for a little over 9 years as well so, much respect to you and thank you for your service!
Nice presentation. I have to say, as a retiring teacher, I didn't think it important to have what now seems like an anachronistic mode of communication. But I recently had lunch with a very important person in Australia. And he gave me his business card! How I wished I had my own to give him. I will now get some of my own. And by the way, you speak well on video. Well done.

Hey Antonio, great video! This one imho was even better then your usual videos. It's hard to explain, but especially the little story of your little passion and that book co-author you met etc., made you radiate so much positive energy. That was amazing. I'm still studying, but one day when I'll have finished my studies and earn some good money, I'll totally give you money for personal advice/services products. Great video. Sadly I came to this conclusion on my own when I went to a conference. Networking with people without business cards was a nightmare. (I'm a student)

How much is a hundred business cards in the US, over here in Sweden it's about 15$. I can't decide whether it's worth it or not.
Another plus of calling cards; they mention your hometown, which in the case of some towns can help the people of your town.
Care in point: my friend works at the university at my town. My town is also a big tourist location. She has the town where she lives on her calling cards, and she travels a lot for her work. In her travels she always leaves one of her cards in the hotel, on one of the lobby tables or a similar place, some hotels even have these basket thingies for calling cards. This way random people who are potential tourists for your town will see the town name, which increases the chances of them thinking about your town when they're planning a trip, which in turn helps in bringing tourist revenue to your town.
I have had friends get some really good quality cards at Moo dot com. They use a thinker paper stock and they have some creative modern deigns.
In 20 months I am retiring, and I have long had a plan to get business cards printed up with "RETIRED" shown on them. That way people will know how seriously I take being retired.

Hi Antonio, Im 20 years old and I just bought my first car today! Its not the best but it will do for the time Im doing my internship. Im not sure if this could fall into the category of your videos but it might be cool to do one about cars and style. Maybe something to think about! Its a simple idea but Im sure you could twist it to something you can talk about 🙂

Vista print has been a great resource for me. Just don't go with the least expensive option. Those cards don't hold up at all.
