Post 4 and 5 is some of the best advice for ALL businesses. I've always printed is very small font 'Notes:' in the upper left corner of my cards for people to write on.

I disagree with a photo on the card, I keep it professional and clean. And my card stands out from the rest due to its clean look. Have a photo on you website, or better yet, do a daily market report youtube video and embed that in your website. Basically, funnel all traffic to the website, and let the website do the work, too… great video Kevin.

What if you don’t own property
Living in the Atlanta metro, I can definitely agree to not having the market on business cards. The Atlanta area is huge and extremely spread out. Even though agents do business all over the metro all of the time, it's false & misleading to pretend to be knowledgeable of areas you don't live in or frequent. Reading market stats from an MLS is nothing compared to actually living and being in a place. Selling real estate in Midtown is a different world from selling in say Woodstock and both are different from South Atlanta, etc. For instance, if I'm a consumer, & you tell me that you live in/ spend most of your time in Cartersville and I'm seeking to buy/sell a house in South Atlanta, I'm not going to think about hiring you and there are several more scenarios throughout metro Atlanta where this will be the case. The cities/ towns here are divided and one may feel like a different world from the next depending on where you go so if you're don't live in or frequent the area, as a consumer I'm definitely not going to trust you to market my home to the right audience to get it sold & certainly wouldn't trust you to guide me in buying a home in an area you know nothing about.

Disagree with the VistaPrint comment. Yes, the basic free ones are crap, but you can design your own with heavy card stock.
