  1. Fun fact, one of the good things to come out of Covid is all the UV sanitization boxes and lights you can find on clearance everywhere. They work well for small prints and Ive seen larger boxes for like 10 bucks (cell phone sanitizers), beats the 80-100 for a basic curing unit.

  2. Wait wait wait…there’s no fan to blow the fumes through the HEPA filter…it’s a sham…

  3. You can get an anycubic photon (2k) for $200 with very similar specs. It’s an older model but the prints are still fantastic

  4. This looks like a reskinned Anycubic Photon. a good printer in itself. why the hell would you buy this.

  5. Is it just me, or is that hepa/carbon filter useless – there's no fan (that I can see) pushing air through it and the hood isn't sealed so there seems to be no reason why air would get pushed through the filter at all?

  6. i feel weird doing a tech befor ltt igot a mars 3 resin printer befor the start of the new year and have been using it alot for my dnd campain

  7. It's cute, but you can see when he's tightening the build plate, that helmet is going to get annoying to work around. Much prefer wide open designs.

  8. Could definitely see something like that be fun in a classroom setting or a place with kids/ teens to play around with.

  9. I'd love to have a Cortana figure printed with this using a blue or purple resin. Stick her on an LED display base and it'd be perfect.

  10. 👍 if credit means this was edited by probationary editor. Not too shabby. If it was a veteran team member, you can do better😁

  11. Dude you touched your face and arms with the gloves on 💀

But also those bottles are an absolute waste of plastic. This thing is a giant gimmick imo

  12. Don't use a metal tool to scrape the build plate? I got an Elegoo Mars on day 1 and have been using a metal scraper to release my prints multiple times daily for years with no damage to the build plate.

  13. Been resin printing for years. This helmet not only looks goofy the entire frame around the build plate is just a mess. Its gonna be harder to clean and more prone to spilling because you have a smaller area to move in and out of than just taking the normal hood off. They priced this higher to sell to schools which is where they hope to make up for it. This is not a consumer friendly design.

  14. An innovation I fail to see occurring in resin printers is on-demand resin pouring to prevent excessive waste. Resin is extremely wasteful and can also fail if left unattended, where an auto-fill system of some kind which drips in resin would be nice.

  15. It's 2022 and companies with brand new products are still packing them in copious amounts of plastic bags and styrofoam… including the packaging for the resin bottles. Good enough reason for me to look at a different product.

  16. The amount of cross contamination is kind of appalling: scratching beard, touching the resin bottles, grabbing the print, opening the large printer, opening the curing chamber. Then, after all that, you touch the curing chamber without PPE… What were the gloves fore? And no N99 mask for the resin fumes? (Anything would have been passable just to show you should use something, especially since you're shoot in the apartment set, impling to the average user it's fine to have this kind of machine in there living space) I'm kind of disappointed you pointed out of the safety pamphlet and then proceeded to half follow some guidelines. (I'm sorry if this comment comes off as rude, I just want to push proper resin safety… Especially on big YouTube channels 😅)

    TLDR: Proper protection is important.

  17. I really enjoyed this video, I'm kinda interested in learning and buying a machine that prints with resin. The results were impressive.

  18. I think I don't like about resin printers. You have to cure them after they're done printing. Which means you need another machine/contraption.

  19. Uses gloves to prevent resin getting onto hands, then rubs his face with the gloves on.
