After all these years with Epson EcoTank, i can't believe no one ever heard of them when Epson markets them worldwide.
You pay more for the printer, but you get the Ink bottles very cheap and they last like 50 times as long as standard Ink patrons.
you know you can just buy non branded ink, right?
This is why I still use a printer from 2008, repaired it twice already but I can buy offbrand ink and use it without issues because it doesnt get firmware updates anymore.
It isnt. Just overpriced.
A full set of cartriges are around 40-50 bucks for my printer. "Special" refillable ones cost me 50 bucks with a 300ml jar of ink per color.
With this i can refill them for like 30 times, or for a non heavy user a lifetime.
And dont by a HP printer, they suck. Get a Epson or Brother, both brands can run on cheap off brand tanks with ease.
If your're looking for a cheap does the job printer, go for a epson expression from the 4100 series: 15ml tanks and off brand replacables are around 9-10 bucks for a set.
Or get yourself a laserprinter, a b/w one is only around 150 bucks, can print up to 15000 sites and never runs dry.
I can't be the only one to think that laser printing looks much better than inkjet?
At least Laser Color Printers are bring the price down a bit
Costco used to fill ink for a fraction of the price. HP hated it and would regularly hack the Costco chips. It was illegal and they would get slapped with a fine, but they made more money when people replaced the hacked cartridges than the fine cost them.

I switched to an Epson Eco Tank for my printing business and I went and bought another for daily use with standard ink. I love love love how they handle ink refills. Basically, the ink sits in a reservoir and you just fill it with a bottle. The printer can't tell if it's Epson ink or third-party ink and it's great!
I just refill my ink cartridges with after market ink and syringes, printing unlimited for dirt cheap.
Off brand ink that’s compatible with the printer is the best. I don’t use cartiradge printer btw. It’s more expensive initially but it’s cheaper overtime
I have an inkjet printer and you have to fill it with liquid ink and not these cartridges…a 30ml bottle of that is around $7 for me..so i never understood this. Maybe it's an American thing
