Really found this useful. I particularly liked your emphasis on taking your time cutting the lino. For me this will be good therapy and mindful. Plenty of time to be in flow and appreciate "now". Looking forward to my equipment arriving over the next few days to start enjoying this new creative hobby. Thanks for sharing.🙏
Brilliant thanks for uploading this vedio.. Please tell me,can we use linocut for printing very very fine arts, that means to print lines which are 1/5 of millimetre ?? If yes how to do so?? If not suggest some other manual method??
this takes me back to 1975 and my design college days . when we were missing from classes youd find us at the beach surfing. We shaped and glassed our own boards, mostly MR twin fins back then and we experimented with linocuts wood yellotoungue woodcuts ??? potato cuts and hibiscus Hawaiian flowers in black and colours on our rails as well as step and repeat printing . despite all the surfing and flunking school we passed. waaaaaaa what memories surfs up!
I’ve got a question, I used to go an art class and we did this, I kept my linoleum and know I want to use it on clothing, the kind of ink that I have is water based but I don’t know if this ink would survive washing, is it safe for my clothes to use water based ink?
This is one of the BEST tutorials I have found on Linocutting/ printmaking! Love the part on thinking in Reverse.
Thank u so much!, it helped me very much 😊😊
Nobody pronounces lino as "linno". It is pronounced "line-o".
BEST beginner's video
Love this video! Thank you so much for creating it! So concise and clear!
Interesting, as I’ll be attempting this art in a workshop. But the music (and I use the term loosely) was so annoying I couldn’t watch to the end.
Great video!!

thank you for this video! You have given me many ideas.
Good reminder NOT to use this yellow type of linoleum. It is far too crumbly and imprecise.

I use an old, heavy glove for protection on my anchor hand, in my case the left.
