Bagian logam untuk bilah sayap, bagian sayap ekor dan engsel pintu juga telah dibuat dengan pencetakan 3D. We have a technology that could revolutionize their components… BUT, I've tried everything to contact them through their website or people on linked-in… never any response. But, what about the surface finish of the 3D printing tech.?
One of the better examples I've seen. That aluminium powder printer clearly is not your average desktop MakerBot. I wonder what a machine like that might cost. The business opportunities I am sure would offset it. Start making parts that aren't easily available anymore for restoration projects and you could find yourself very busy and rich I am sure.
Very impressive guys, you could save a fortune on tooling alone. Also this has a cool factor to it – I showed this video to my 14 year old nephew. He hates engineering and making stuff but when I showed him this video and explained it, he was hooked. If you want to get youngsters in to aviation engineering, videos like this will be ideal. More please!
