Also, all prints were mirror image from a laser printer and normal multipurpose copy paper. I do not own an inkjet printer anymore so couldn't test those methods.
is it sublimation paper you use on the wood?
Will this work on plastic ? I’m trying to find a longer lasting solution for labeling my planer boards. I have tried inkjet (don’t own a laser printer yet) transfer with packing tape. It’s not great, it’s really bad.
Does the polycrylic procedure work on painted wood as well?
Thanks so much. Perfect for transferring patterns to wood for scrolling and wood burning!!
Beautiful, organized workshop
Loved this video and that you quckly showed 5 different methods
What about a colored pic? Do u use the same technique?
Probably a grave digging here, but such an informative video! I tried to transfer a picture printed through Epson – ink cartrdiges – with acetone but it didn't work at all. What am i doing wrong?
I wonder if you could have left the piece in your laser CNC and done a second pass for better definition. Thanks for the video. Very inspirational!
Would this work for a color photo printed on paper?
Love this tutorial. Will this work with Costco printed images?
Hi, how do you mirror your print so it comes out the correct way on the timber?
Does any acetone work?
So basically, a perfect tutorial!
What kind of paper are you using, sir? Working on a special project for a cancer patient. Please advise. Thanks.
I found you can take the transfer paper for dark material and take an iron , press it, and the image will bond with the wood. then all you have to do is seal it with a poly spray.
Great demo! The best I ever seen! Thank you!
This video was great and informative. Much better than the four I watched before. Which were all women. So take that for what it's worth.
This is what I was looking for. Im looking to make a wooden box for my Indiana Jones steelbooks. My idea was to stain or weather some artist panels. But I dont think the acetone would work as it would probably take off any stain. Would the polycrylic or gel medium work if I wanted to print something onto a painted surface?
Is it normal A4 paper used in office?
Paint a thin layer of borax solution prior to lasering will darken the result greatly.
Great info. Well explained. Will this works on medium density fibreboard?
Thx!
Sir can u tell me which chemical is best to transfer image on paper
what type of wood is this.. very clean surface
"I saw worse crimes committed by Americans in the Iraq war after 9/11, is President Bush in Prison for war crimes? And shaking hands with Prime Minister Johnson should punished by death! (By Heaven of course)!" May God save the humans left after Armageddon!"

Awesome.
Do I need just regular printing paper to do these methods?
Lasers can etch much deeper and produce substantially greater darkening. Beautiful effects can be achieved by painting the recessed areas (applied by hand or spraying), then sanding the surface before clear-coating. This can be performed in stages so different recessed areas have different colors. Paint or stain can optionally be applied to the uppermost surface.
Polycrylic is probably my favorite one to use. Simple and effective. Nice glaze coat and it looks beautiful. Thanks for this!
Instead of paper could you transfer from acetate to avoid the paper sticking?
Wonderful Video … thanks for sharing these various techniques for image xfr to wood. Any idea how the polycrylic works for xfr of COLOR laser images?
Thanks. Glad I watched this because I was going to attempt to Iron an image onto my wood based off the idea of how the ink in a laser printer works.
I have a can of water based poly already, so there is no need to do any shopping.
Have you tried these methods over something that you stained or already put a finish on?
The clothes iron method is useful if you want to transfer an image that you are using as a guide or a sketch for pyrography. If you are into woodburning art I know some woodburning artists use that method for transferring images for that use.
You can do more passes with the laser to get a darker result. I like the polycrylic 👍
Is this regular printer paper that you printed from your computer?
Does the polycrilic method is with laser print? and do it will work with inkjet printer? great vidéo thanks
