I’m struggling to understand why it’s called carbon “fiber” when the fibers are very short little bits held in plastic.
I wonder if something like PCCF is a better choice than Nylon CF. I've been printing PCCF on my e3d tool changer with an acrylic enclosure without issues at all.
why can’t I buy your book from Amazon in Australia?
higher temperature… add adhersion.
Can you give me a clue as to where I might find some “fun” models?
I have a large and heaavy package for ya! XD
Always dry your Nylon CF spool before use, even if you have just purchased it, it's probably soaked. I dry mine at 90C for 4 hours. Then anneal your parts afterwards. It makes a huge difference in quality and strength. Then when finished take off the spool and keep it in the box in a sealed bag with a desiccant. Then when it's time to print, dry it again. And repeat. I run CARBONX PA6+CF GEN 3 which I believe is the absolute best in its class.
What settings did you use for the shield?
WAY to expensive!!
What about a cheap printer?
Hi
Thanks for the video
Where or how can I get those Glock files?
Bambu X1 ftw
Call me a noob but I much prefer using CF-PC
While this definitely is a good printer. I honestly think thay this test could've been conducted in a much better manner. The first thing is that while they did vacuum seal the filament, most printers are going to run this in a filament dehydrator for at least 2 hours before using it. I would definitely recommend the Sunlu S2 as it can get up to 70°C and take a little longer. Secondly, the other thing that I would do with the filament is have it feed into an IFD-175 in line filament dryer so that as it's going into a machine, every bit of that filament has no moisture in it. Finally, an actively heated build chamber is a must for printing anything above PLA. We're talking Kevlar-Nylon, Glass Fiber Nylon, Carbon Fiber Nylon, polycarbonate, etc.
Without those three things, I would never piece anything together that uses these types of filaments.
This YOUTUBER probably is on the FBIs list.
Have you ever tried the ePA-CF from SaintSmart? I wonder how it compares to PA12-CF filament.
nice printer, nice video. Guns? I don t like them at all. you should print/testing some different IMO. for this I will not subscribe.
2k is way too much
Sounds Expensive 😂
Got one and on the 3ed print the Direct drive broke. Try to contact them for a week with no response ended up returning it
Then there is the bambu lab X1…. They mic dropped on the industry..
DONT ORDER THIS PRINTER. I ordered on amazon and from the linked website and got scammed both times. Delivered to the wrong address and had to dispute the charge with my bank. BUYER BEWARE
I got a qidi x plus . I think I made the mistake not getting this. Great video
oven with an ender 5 inside
could i use this as my main 3d printer?
Anybody made a profile for the x cf pro for cura? Need it since I’m still getting used to the qidi slicer and I have prints I need to slice.
What’s the best machine for a beginner wanting to print a different array of filaments
its a churched up ender 5 pro with an enclosure, I print with a ender 5, microswiss direct drive ect i paid what 700 In thats Modded out, made my own enclosure I cant see why any one would pay 1500 more for an enclosure, its nice but not that nice In why doesnt anyone print at a 45 degree angle vertical?
How much did they pay you to make this video? How does a $2000 printer have the heat bed cable just hanging there and being bent around where it plugs into the machine? They couldn't include a simple cable chain or different cable design in that hefty price tag?
im impressed. really thinking about one of these
You can baby step the z height and do all kinds of adjustments with qidi print softwares control panel.
I've had the Qidi Tech X-max since 2 weeks to flatten curve. Printed 150 kgs between PLA/+ PETG, ABS, PCTPE, Nylon, cf nylon, wood PLA, PSA, TPU, basically everything. I could count failed prints on two hands with a few fingers to spare. Only printer I've owned.
You could heat up that Glock frame with a small torch and clear it up some
Get an appliance dolly. It make getting large heavy items up stairs much easier and securely straps the item to the dolly.
how much & carbon did have your filament?
I am not even a beginner yet. Where do I start?
you needed higher heat for the layer adhesion to take hold better strength…
you just bad settings not bad printer or design… always its you.
